The client was thrilled with their new annexe – the kids spent the entire summer in their “little house”. In fact, the family subsequently moved to a new property and are now looking for another annexe in their new home!

The client was looking for multiple uses for this annexe. Firstly, it would provide a hangout area for the teenage kids. Having the space as a fully habitable area also meant the grandparents had a place to stay when they came to visit. Finally, there would also be an option in the future to potentially rent the annexe out to visitors to the Wimbledon tennis championships.
The annexe was to be positioned in an offset corner plot of the garden. Our design team came up with a L-shaped garden space to make sure we maximised use of the available area. The garden was already landscaped with a modern feel, so we made sure the annexe blended in with its surroundings and the main house.
